Work hard, play hard.

What are your plans for when you've completed your course, for work or further study?

Work abroad and become RICS qualified. Potentially an MSc in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution.

What do you think of the industrial placement aspect of your course?

Much needed practical experience and a refreshing change from student life that gives an important advantage over non-placement students.

Project description

8-story commercial office refurbishment - full strip-out and fit-out of coves, basement, M&E, raised flooring and suspended ceiling.

Student's responsibility on team

Sub-contract procurement; sub-contract management; scheduling of variations and changes

Experience gained

Assisting in post tender management, progress monitoring and reporting. Issuing enquiries, tender analysis, placing orders. Signage packages, facade cleaning and raised flooring package. Final account analysis.

Asbestos awareness; New Construction Act
