Freddy Hedberg

BA (Hons) City and Regional Planning

Before you came to Brookes what did you study and where?

I studied the International Baccalaureate at the Insistut International de Lancy in Geneva, Switzerland.

What made you choose Brookes as a place to study?

They were the only university that wanted an interview with me and the city of Oxford is a great place to study the course I am currently on.

What do you think of the course while studying here?

It is really great. It is enabling me to explore different areas of town planning and to see which ones I preferred (such as urban design, transport planning, local planning, etc).

What are the best bits of studying at Brookes?

The student body on my course is what really makes my course enjoyable, we all get along fantastically well and it makes it so much easier and fun to study at Brookes. The facilities are also a big advantage as it a modern university especially with the John Henry Brookes Building now open.

What advice do you have for others?

To enjoy studying at Brookes and work hard but at the same time have fun whilst doing it.

What are your plans for when you've completed your course, for work or further study?

My plan is to find a job in urban design somewhere in the UK and to see where that might develop to.
