Questions and answers:

Before you came to Brookes what did you study and where?

Completed a Modern Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering. 16 months travelling and a year managing bars.

What made you choose Brookes as a place to study?

Good course. Lots of interesting building around. Nice area of the country.

What do you think of the course now you're here?

Good for understanding basic law and contract obligations that you are responsible for by law. Helps with management skills and prioritising.

What do you think of the industrial placement aspect of your course?

Tougher because you're dealing with many different characters. Good experience because you understand how things really work as text books tend to go towards the perfect scenario.

What are your plans for when you've completed your course, for work or further study?

Will probably continue to work in the construction industry.

What are the best bits of studying at Brookes?

You are responsible for yourself to get through the degree. So it's a bit more relaxed than being responsible for other people's livelihoods at work. Brookes life is that bit less stressful.

What advice do you have for others?

Stay ahead on coursework as much as you can and get the best grade you can, it will help you in the future. Be prepared for constant pressures and reasonability when you get into industry.
