Brookes at UN-Habitat III Conference in Ecuador

Since 2009, Oxford Brookes University in partnership with The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has developed a bespoke short training programme for property professionals in Asia.

Within the duration of four months, this programme offers a unique opportunity for Asian property professionals to develop and broaden their knowledge and skills. All the teaching materials are tailor-made and contain many practical and relevant case studies. The delivery of the programme is online with a face to face assessment weekend. The programme was originally started in China and was extended to Vietnam in 2012. So far, the programme has trained over 150 property professionals in both China and Vietnam, and a new cohort just recently started in Ho Chi Minh City on 26 September 2016.

Returning from a visit to Singapore, Vietnam and Shanghai in July, Dr Xu Ye – senior lecturer in the School of the Built Environment at Oxford Brookes commented: “Candidates for this programme are professionals from prestigious organisations in the field including Savills, CBRE, VinaCapital as well as many other property management and investment firms. They are highly motivated individuals and worked really hard over the duration of the programme. Hence, our final interview success rate is over 90%, compared with an average passing rate of 40% - 50% via other routes to RICS membership.”

More information about the programme can be found on our website.
