Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

We have a wide and expanding array of short courses and training programmes on planning related topics that can be selected from. We can also tailor our standard units to the specific training needs of an organisation. All are eligible for CPD (Continuing Professional Development) accreditation. The standard units in the short course programme comprise both 'repeat' courses, such as 'Introduction to the Planning Process' that take place several times a year, and annual courses, such as 'Environmental Impact Assessment', that take place once a year. All courses provide topical, up-to-date practice-related information and advice.

Our courses enable participants to receive high quality training and to learn first-hand from expert practitioners. Participants enhance their skills by exploring real-life challenges with real cases. The team of trainers are highly experienced in university and practitioner teaching and training methods.

These sessions provide the perfect platform to engage with other practitioners and decision makers and are run in an informal, but directed way. A hallmark of the School's approach is group learning, knowledge sharing and lively interaction that will enable you to continue your learning journey beyond the duration of the course.

The School is also open to discussing your specific requirements and devising new courses for particular needs.
